Workshop description:
"I'm not pretty enough." "I'm not funny enough." "I'm not good enough!" You. Are. Enough. Over this 2 hour all female intensive, instructors Amanda Wirtz and Emily Fontano create an environment where all students can feel safe, supported, inspired and "good enough" for any stage. Through exercises, games and heart to heart conversations the two will work together to help shake stereotypical expectations and encourage players to highlight the attributes that make them uniquely themselves. Join these ladies for a self-discovery trip to the heart of your fears and shut off that inner voice in your head for good!
Instructor Bios:
Amanda Wirtz and Emily Fontano are a comedic duo based out of Orlando, FL. After establishing themselves in their first two woman show in 2013 at SAK Comedy Lab the pair quickly became two to watch in the Florida Improv community. They were both named SAK's "Rookie of the year" for 2014 and 2015. More recently they were honored with SAK's "Above and Beyond" award for their work on the powerful PULSE: Benefit Show and the incredible success of SAK's first and only all female workshop and showcase.
They have performed in multiple festivals in cities throughout the country and were a part of an award winning ensemble cast at the 2016 Orlando International FRINGE festival. They host a weekly podcast that culminates in a monthly live show podcast recording at SAK Comedy Lab. In addition they are co-hosts of the first improvised late-night style, improvised talk show at SAK Comedy Lab called "Tonight's Tonight".
Amanda and Emily offer a unique and intimate experience that has the ability to bring out the very best in even the most vulnerable players. It's like working with your very best friend.
